All Three Virginmarys (A Trinity, If You Will) Reveal Their Favorite Non-Hit

The common thread? Each song has the word "the" in the title. Whoa!

The Virginmarys singer/guitarist Ally Dickaty tells BlastEcho her favorite song you’ve never heard:

“People Help The People” by Cherry Ghost

This is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. Lyrically amazing, incredible voice and a lovely melody. To me it’s anthemic and inspired, but if you’re not from the North West of England you may not have heard this version. It was covered by a solo artist called Birdy and that version was a lot more popular but, for me, it there’s no comparison.

The Virginmarys bassist Matt Rose tells BlastEcho his favorite song you’ve never heard:

“Capture the Rapture” by The Magick Otters

In my eyes [The Magick Otthers] are one of the best and most talented unsigned bands around and their music is like nothing I’ve ever heard. They’re also unbelievable live, but it’s a rare treat to see them so if you get chance then do it! I love the changes throughout the tune, especially the breakdown in the middle.

The Virginmarys drummer Danny Dolan tells BlastEcho his favorite song you’ve never heard:

“Silent to the Dark” by The Electric Soft Parade

A band from the early aughts that most people don’t know of hailing from Brighton, England. This is one of those tracks that when ever it pops back into my head at a party and I whip out my iPod and blast this, everyone goes, “who’s this song by?” Brings back so many top memories for me when I hear it — especially the full-length album version which is the shiznit! Wicked band that are, sadly, pretty unheard of.
