In fact, AFI is recording a follow-up to 2013's "Burials"

News that members of No Doubt would be teaming with AFI frontman Davey Havok for a new, yet-untitled project, not only cast doubt (no pun intended) on the future of the band with Gwen Stefani, but on AFI, too.

A representative of AFI’s management company, however, put to bed the notion that AFI may, too, be coming undone. Without getting into specifics, the rep said AFI are  “definitely a band, 100%,” before adding “they’re making a record.” The rep then said the band would reveal specifics around the new album when the time was right.

The revelation that No Doubt members Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young would be teaming with Havok for a new band was news to everyone, including Stefani (see below) who told Jimmy Kimmel earlier this week she, like most others, found out about the side project online.
