Far be it for BlastEcho to drum up controversy—ok, we lied, we live for it—but we couldn’t help but notice some startling similarities between a certain guitar melody in the intro of a recent Expedia commercial and the opening guitar melody in the 35-year-old Motley Crue song “Merry-Go Round.”
A quick Google search reveals that a mass audience hasn’t acknowledged the similarities, which makes BlastEcho wonder if we’re alone in our humble opinion. Have a listen for yourself. Are we hearing things or is Expedia borrowing a little too generously from the Crue? If enough people take our side, maybe we’ll reach out to the Crue and see if they agree too.
Expedia Commercial 2015 Zoo:
Motley Crue’s “Merry-Go Round”
BlastEcho is the only music website on the planet (warning: hyperbole) that’s all original content. In other words, it’s new, not what you already knew. Here you’ll find the latest on your favorite classic rock, alternative and pop artists, as well as those you may have forgotten (or would rather forget). We’ll post it as fast as our shoestring staff can (is that a tiny violin we hear?)
There will be new music, too, for you to discover and, hopefully, some entertaining, ground-breaking features. Did we miss anything? Oh, yeah, thanks for stopping by. We’re very appreciative!
