With rumors circulating that Axl Rose may fill Brian Johnson’s void as AC/DC lead singer for at least the final 10 shows on the band’s Rock or Bust tour, it was so easy to at least temporarily forget that at least three-fifths of the original Guns n’ Roses are reuniting this year.
Already G n’ R are booked to play shows in Las Vegas (April 8, 9), at Coachella (April 16, 23) and in Mexico (April 19, 20), and now they’ve announced the U.S. cities (but no actual dates) where they’ll continue on. They are, in alphabetical order:
Atlanta, GA
Boston, MA
Chicago, IL
Cincinnati, OH
Dallas, TX
Detroit, MI
Houston, TX
Kansas City, MO
Nashville, TN
New Orleans, LA
New York
Orlando, FL
Philadelphia, PA
Phoenix, AZ
Pittsburgh, PA
San Diego, CA
San Francisco, CA
Seattle, WA
St Louis, MO
Toronto, ONT
Washington, DC
The band also inserted a brief video in the press release, which does nothing to shed light on who–besides Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan–will be in the band, though it’s widely assumed Use Your Illusion-era keyboardist Dizzy Reed, along with guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer (both of Axl’s version of GNR) will be on board as well.

BlastEcho is the only music website on the planet (warning: hyperbole) that’s all original content. In other words, it’s new, not what you already knew. Here you’ll find the latest on your favorite classic rock, alternative and pop artists, as well as those you may have forgotten (or would rather forget). We’ll post it as fast as our shoestring staff can (is that a tiny violin we hear?)
There will be new music, too, for you to discover and, hopefully, some entertaining, ground-breaking features. Did we miss anything? Oh, yeah, thanks for stopping by. We’re very appreciative!
