I adore Adron’s LP Organismo. She drifts between Portuguese, French and American English with such a divine melodic sensibility, as if each language is just means for a sonic end. I’ve been a huge fan of hers for years. She’s one of my favorite vocalists; I’ve admittedly listened to her for hours on end. Although Organismo is an impeccable record from beginning to end, “Pyramids” is her most playful song and therefore my favorite. The song begins with a quote from Dune and centers its message on the perfect refrain “If life starts to suck somewhat, just remember this—pyramids fucking exist.” How amazing is that?
