Now More Than Ever, We Need a Rockers’ Block With Chicago’s Robert Lamm
Take a trip down memory lane with the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Famer
Some music artists have released literally hundreds of songs over the years, to say nothing of the ones deemed too garbage-y to release. BlastEcho wondered if those involved in recording so many songs could remember them all. Enter Rockers’ Block.
For each Rockers’ Block contestant, we play five random songs from their catalog each song from the beginning to see how long it takes for them to guess (well, maybe guess isn’t the right word) the correct song. Then once they do (hopefully), they talk a bit about the song.

Perhaps no Rockers’ Block contestant has had it harder than original Chicago singer/keyboardist Robert Lamm. Not only was Lamm forced to remember among hundreds of Chicago songs recorded over the past 50 years (!) but he has the added inconvenience of needing to remember Chicago album titles, too, most of which are, confusingly, Roman numerals. Regardless, Lamm was game and did quite well, all things considered.

Now, let’s hear how the man responsible for writing some of Chicago’s most enduring hits (“Saturday in the Park,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” and “25 or 6 to 4”) does remembering five that weren’t hits. Here goes!
