The Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the headliners for the 2016 Lollapalooza in Chicago’s Grant Park (July 28-31), according to multiple sources. A source, too, confirmed an earlier report that Radiohead will headline, as well.
The Chili Peppers are Lollapalooza regulars, having headlined the Chicago festival in 2006 and 2012; they were also the main attraction at the travelling version of the festival in 1992, which featured the likes of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. It’s not known which day the Chili Peppers—who are finishing up work on their follow-up to 2011’s I’m With You—will headline, though this year is the first to include a Thursday line-up, in addition to ones on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Also confirmed to perform at this year’s Lollapalooza on Saturday (July 30) are Nothing But Thieves, who are currently riding high on the success of their single “Trip Switch.”
