Rock Around the Clock: A Song About Every Hour of the Day
Coldplay starts things off at "Midnight," and wraps up 23 hours, er, songs later with Snafu's "11pm"
The new Bears Hands single, “2am,” got us thinking: The band claims nothing good happens after 2am, but are any songs about after hours any good? As it turns out the best songs about or, at the very least, named after hours of the day occur between midnight and noon. And you all agree, too. We painstakingly added up views from the YouTube videos posted for this feature, and 97% (!) of the views come from midnight-to-11am songs. And, we’ll be honest, there are some songs (and artists) in this feature who we’ve never heard of and a few we wished we hadn’t (you’ll know if you’re a glutton for punishment and listen to them all).
Now, we took a few liberties with a few of the songs: Some are instrumentals and one is about two minutes past the top of an hour. Sue us.
