Our bass player, Eian [McNeely], introduced me specifically to the album The Big Dirty not too long ago, actually. The first song that I really hooked onto was “Leatherneck” — specifically because of the vocals. They’ve got a super cool Southern sound that I haven’t personally heard very often from other metal-core bands. Plus, the song starts off straightforward with all the instrumentation and vocals hitting at once, which I’m always a fan of.
