When Were the Best-Selling Albums of All Time Released?
Hint: Definitely not in the mid-'70s.
In what years were the best-selling albums of all-time released? Not surprisingly, only two released in the past 13 years make the chart (Usher’s Confessions in 2004 and Adele’s 21 in 2011)–repercussions of living in an increasingly streaming world.
In one particular year, seven of the 77 best-selling albums were released, and in no other year has there even been six (as an FYI, 1972, 1974-1976 had none!). Let’s take a closer look:
