Some music artists have released literally hundreds of songs over the years, to say nothing of the ones deemed too garbage-y to release. BlastEcho wondered if those involved in recording so many songs could remember them all. Enter Rockers’ Block.

For each Rockers’ Block contestant, we play five random songs from their catalog each song from the beginning to see how long it takes for them to guess (well, maybe guess isn’t the right word) the correct song. Then once they do (hopefully), they talk a bit about the song.

For the first time in BlastEcho history, two members of the same band get in the hot seat and take their chances on Rockers’ Block. For this edition, it’s singer/guitarist Raine Maida and bassist Duncan Coutts, both of the Canadian alt-rock troupe Our Lady Peace.

Now out on tour in support of their excellent new album, Somethingness, Maida and Coutts were nice enough to take five minutes out of their schedule to “guess” — or is it “remember?” — songs from five of their nine albums (dating back to 1994). For a while, they cruise, but stumble on a song from the 2000 concept album Spiritual Machines. Well, enough of our spoilers — watch for yourself!

P.S. The full songs are below, if you think you can do better than Maida and Coutts did…
